Due to the current Head Teacher taking up a wider leadership role within STEP Academy Trust for the 2025–2026 academic year, we are seeking to build further senior leadership capacity at Heathfield academy by appointing an Acting Deputy Head Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated leader to take on a senior leadership role in a dynamic, inclusive, and ambitious academy. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider leadership team & Executive Head Teacher to maintain the academy’s strong culture, drive school improvement, and support the continued development of staff and pupils alike.

This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Head Teacher who is ready to step into Deputy Headship in a supported context, with the backing of a strong leadership team and Trust network.
